Why do we do what we do?

The question I get asked over and over is: “Why don’t you charge for this? Why do you put so much work into the community for free?” My answer is simple: this directory is my gift back to the community I love so much. This is a labor of love, born from a desire to be a blessing to others, just as I have been blessed by God.

The Bible calls us to be the hands and feet of Jesus and to love our neighbors as ourselves. This is my way of living out that call—of leading by example, helping others, and showing God’s love to all my brothers and sisters.

This is my attempt each day to follow my God’s command as per the bible:  “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10
