This past Sunday, the family and I went to lunch at Rosedale Brick Oven. Rosedale had graciously helped us feed the Isle of Capri community during our efforts to help our community right after Hurricane Ian. I had personally delivered the food to the Isles of Capri and in the back of my brain was a memory of the smell of the food I drove from Naples to the Isles to Capri some months back and from time to time that memory would resurface and the desire to go try Rosedale’s food would come to mind. Well, I did not wait any longer and after church on Sunday, I took the family and headed over to Rosedale.
We arrived and we were properly greeted and sat down. Our waiter was with us right away and went over all the options and took our drink orders. We also put in for the Sicilian Rice balls as an appetizer.
Our drinks and Sicilian Rice balls arrived and we started to dig in. These are massive and we would have been fine with one for all of us, but since we went with two, we had to dig in and finish. It’s a super delicious giant rice ball made with their risotto formed around a center of Bolognese, garden peas and mozzarella. It is served with a side of ricotta cheese and marinara. Absolutely delicious and filling, worth sharing while you wait for your meals!
For our meals, my wife went with the chicken parmesan which suggested was delicious. My son with the cheese pizza, which I tried a bit and it was perfect, with a super crunchy and delicious crust. My daughter got the kids spaghetti and broccoli. I chose to go with something from the baked section and absolutely loved it. I chose the Baked Gnocchi. A delicious blend of gnocchi, Italian sausage and spinach topped with mozzarella baked in the brick oven. What an amazing combination, super delicious and super filing as well!
The portions are large and we all had leftovers for dinner! The service was amazing with a super attentive waiter providing everything we needed. The food was out of this world delicious and fresh! We had an amazing experience!.
