Our Mission
Our mission at Eva’s Closet and Foundation (ECF) is to provide assistance to people in need, regardless of situation or circumstance, without judgement. We fulfill this mission by serving more than 1,500 individuals each month who are suffering from homelessness, poverty, and other risk factors in Southwest Florida. ECF provides necessities to clients at no cost, including, but not limited to, clothing, shoes, hygiene items, baby supplies, food, household supplies, and school supplies, with grace honor and respect.
Taking Action.
“We provide free clothing, school uniforms, school supplies, shoes, baby items, some furniture — all depending on what I have at the time,” Goodall said. “I help a lot of foster kids and homeless families transitioning into housing. We provide free clothing, school uniforms, school supplies, shoes, baby items, some furniture — all depending on what I have at the time.”

The Story of Eva’s Closet
Inspired by Eva Engel, who dedicated much of her life to Abby’s House, a shelter for abused women & children in Worcester, Massachusetts. Jessica Goodall, Eva’s great niece, developed a passion for social work at a young age because of her great aunt. Eva’s Closet was founded by Jessica in memory of her aunt, who relentlessly served others with grace & compassion.
IT ALL STARTED WHEN…
Jessica completed her MSW degree at Florida Gulf Coast University in 2016; she obtained her undergraduate degree in Sociology from Framingham State College in Massachusetts in 2002. Jessica was raised in Massachusetts, and resided there until the age of 22. Prior to beginning graduate school in SWFL, Jessica worked in the child welfare system in Naples, FL for 11 years.
