My mother-in-law came to town to be with us for Halloween and this gave my wife and I, an opportunity to go out on a date for dinner.
We reached into our list of restaurants that we have not been but want to try, and Osteria Capri, in the Isles of Capri, right before Marco Island has been a place I have wanted to try for a while.
So I called in and made a reservation for us and after spending the day with the family, we go on our much anticipated date night.
We had a short drive of about 30 minutes from our home in Naples to the Isles of Capri. We parked our vehicle (there was plenty of parking spaces on the restaurants parking lot right next to the building) and proceeded to go into the restaurant.
The building is pretty neat and right by the water and at night looks awesome with all the blue lights.
Upon arriving in the restaurant, we were greeted right away and within 5 minutes we got a table outside, where the weather and ambiance was just perfect, with live entertainment!
Our server was in our table within minutes and we were offered drinks. I stuck with sparkling water while my wife had a glass (or a couple glasses) of Sauvignon Blanc wine which she suggested was very good!
We were brought bread very quickly and it was very good with olive oil and spices.
Our server shared the daily specials and the Chilean Seabass special really sparked my interest.
We started an antipasto, the Caprese, which was absolutely delicious. Very fresh and plump tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, basil, olive oil, roasted red peppers over seasonal squash. Highly recommended as an appetizer!
Our meals did not take very long to come. My wife went with the Tagliatelle Cacio e Pepe, which includes Homemade tagliatelle pasta, Romano cheese and cracked pepper. The wife was very happy with her dish and raving on how good the homemade pasta was.
My Chileans Seabass was absolutely delicious! Prepared Toscana style, and let to be marinated for over 24 hours, it includes white wine lemon butter sauce, finished with sun dried tomato, artichokes, mushrooms and served over a bed risotto parmigiano. I enjoyed every bite of it and was very happy with my choice!
We finished with a fresh and delicious Tiramisu, which we dove in so quickly, I did not have time to take a picture.
Service was absolutely amazing and Francesca was fantastic!
The live entertainment, with the restaurant setting by the water made for a very romantic and enjoyable night!
If you are looking for great service, delicious food and great ambiance, Osteria Capri is a fantastic choice!
Felipe (and Keri) approved! ?? We recommend and would come back!
