This past weekend, I planned a visit to the Naples Depot Museum for the family!

This museum is one of five museums in Collier County that is free to the public!

The Naples Depot Museum is located Downtown, minutes from 5th Avenue!

The museum features artifacts and history from when Naples was first settled and how it has developed into the city that it is today!

It is so interesting to read about places in Naples that you visit often and have no idea about it’s history!

Read all about how Naples first got settled, to the construction of the airport and the commercial airlines it used to operate there, the history of the Swamp Buggy Races and much more!

The Naples Depot Museum even allows visitors to visit and sit in trains that came to Naples in the 1940s!

Our tour of the museum took about 1 hour, but I must confess our two year old would not sit and let us read all the information available, so I would I say to plan a 2 hours visit.

Whether you live in the area or you are in town visiting, take some time and go visit the museum!

I guarantee you will enjoy your visit!
