TwinCutZ - Coconut Point

From a young age, this hardworking entrepreneur had to push through his fair share of difficult circumstances. After a prolonged battle with drug addiction, Sean’s mother passed away shortly after his birth and he was raised by loving grandparents. After unexpectedly becoming a father himself during high school, Sean embraced adulthood and determined to make a fresh start.

He drafted a five-year business plan and founded TwinCutZ in 2010 .

Still, more difficulties lay ahead when Sean received the diagnosis of stage III non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2018. He responded by joining forces with another barber with cancer. Together, the duo brainstormed ways to best connect, support and create health awareness for this life-threatening condition throughout the hair industry. The collaboration yielded Fade Cancer, a customized T-shirt brand that allows individuals to support a family member, friend or themselves. Every sale donated a portion of proceeds to Hairstyles for Hope and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Today, Sean is cancer-free and inspiring others to live their best lives. His vision and business model for TwinCutZ scaled perfectly. Sean has now coached multiple operating partners through the successful launch of many new TwinCutZ barbershop locations in Southwest Florida. For Sean, staying a cut above the rest has clearly paid off – and is inspiring others, too.
