Nestled in the heart of Southwest Florida’s vibrant landscape, Margaritaville Fort Myers Beach, under the proud operation and ownership of TPI Hospitality, offers not just a job but an opportunity for unparalleled personal and professional growth.
As a Restaurant Assistant Manager, the position will be included in establishing policies and procedures related to food service within our dining outlets. Furthermore, they will assist in the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of the resort’s food and beverage team.
Key Responsibilities include:
Staff Management and Training:
- Ensure incoming staff complies with company policies and maintain a positive company culture.
- Train new and existing staff to follow restaurant procedures and uphold standards.
Safety and Quality Assurance:
- Maintain safety and food quality standards to ensure the health and satisfaction of customers.
- Handle customer complaints promptly and effectively to ensure customer satisfaction.
Operations Management:
- Organize schedules and keep track of employees’ hours to ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Supervise daily shift operations, including front- and back-of-house activities.
Inventory and Budget Management:
- Order food, linens, gloves, and other supplies while staying within budget limitations.
- Control operational costs and identify ways to minimize waste to maximize profitability.
Financial Oversight:
- Ensure all end-of-day cash outs are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Appraise staff performance and provide feedback for improvement.
Customer Interaction and Feedback:
- Interact with guests to gather feedback on product quality and service levels, ensuring a positive dining experience.
Recruitment and Interviewing:
- Interview and recruit new employees to maintain adequate staffing levels and support business growth.
What you will bring:
- 1- year proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager, Hospitality Manager, or similar role.
- Proven customer service experience as a manager.
- Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and waitstaff.
- Familiarity with restaurant management software.
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills.
- Obtain and maintain current SERV Safe Food Manager’s Certification.
- Proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant functions: food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports.
- Be punctual and able to observe regular and consistent attendance.
- Contribute to a positive team environment.
