Key Responsibilities include:
Opening and Closing Duties:
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including restocking the bar with garnishes, straws, napkins, and other necessary supplies.
- Ensure Bartenders have access to clean towels, glassware, and other essential tools throughout their shift.
Bar Maintenance and Organization:
- Maintain a well-stocked bar by regularly checking inventory levels of ice, liquor, wine, and beer, and restocking as needed.
- Inspect taps and appliances to ensure proper functionality, making minor repairs or adjustments as necessary, and replacing kegs when required.
Cleaning and Sanitization:
- Keep the bar area clean and tidy by wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping floors, removing soiled glassware, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, and emptying trash receptacles regularly.
- Follow sanitation protocols to maintain a hygienic environment and prevent contamination.
Menu Knowledge and Customer Service:
- Familiarize yourself with menu items and cocktail recipes and be prepared to answer customer questions and provide recommendations.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, addressing inquiries, helping, and ensuring a positive guest experience.
Continuous Learning and Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and beverage trends to enhance your knowledge and skills.
- Take initiative to improve efficiency and effectiveness in bar operations, suggesting ideas for process enhancements or improvements
Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work collaboratively with Bartenders and other bar staff to ensure smooth operations and excellent service delivery.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and support each other as needed.
What you will bring:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be minimum age to serve alcohol.
- Experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to meet physical and scheduling demands of the position, including, walking, standing, or lifting heavy items (up to 50 pounds) for extended periods of time.
- Be punctual and able to observe regular and consistent attendance.
- Contribute to a positive team environment.
